One week in space on the ISS...
One week in space on the ISS (International Space
Station) by: Benaiah Asare Amoah
Last night on October 12th, 2023, I
went to the ISS. It took me 4 years of training to become an astronaut.
Now I’m in space with my crew and we’re
observing Mars with a telescope.
We prepared the resources we needed to pack like
astronaut suits, oxygen tanks, astronaut helmets,
astronaut gloves, camera, and rovers.
We (my crew and I) went to Mars using a
spacecraft and camped there (on Mars) for the night.
The next morning, we went exploring on mars
with the rovers and found some very shiny (I love shine things) reddish rocks.
We took some pictures
of the reddish rocks on mars and went back to the spacecraft.
We used the spacecraft to
arrive on the ISS.
When we went back to the ISS, we examined the
rocks with a super advanced scanner and took the rocks as samples (in science
it means examples but in a different context).
We went to the senior astronaut’s office on the
ISS and sent our info to the senior astronaut, Gary Bondin.
He appreciated our hard work and success.
We celebrated in the ISS and the party was lit
(cool, I loved that party) and amazing, I enjoyed it a lot.
Then after the party, I went to sleep then the
next morning I woke up, and it was the last day on the ISS.
I was really sad, but my crew cheered me up and
I went back to earth.
I’m so happy I went to the ISS and came back to
Earth, and I shared my experience with my friends, and they were astonished at
me.
